Tasting Notes

Cave de Ribeauvillé's Rodern Grande Cuvée pours a deep, vibrant ruby with purple hues. The nose is expressive and fresh — dark cherry, blackberry, and wild strawberry lead, supported by earthy violet, a whisper of mushroom and the granitic mineral character of the Gloeckelberg Grand Cru. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and silky, with bright, fruit-forward energy and a supple tannic structure hinting at real depth and concentration. A touch of spice and undergrowth emerge on the mid-palate before a long, harmonious finish. A rare and authentic expression of Alsatian Pinot Noir from one of the region's most respected cooperatives.
