Tasting Notes
La Berlande pours a deep, intense ruby with a nose of dark cassis, plum, eucalyptus, cedar and a resinous, earthy complexity typical of great Margaux terroir. On the palate the Cabernet Sauvignon backbone is clear — firm, well-structured tannins frame flavours of blackcurrant, dark cherry and cedar with herbal and mineral nuances. The wine is built for the long term, with a mid-palate density and precision that recalls Margaux's reputation for producing the most perfumed and elegant wines of the Médoc. An excellent buy for the patient cellar.
